Ermont Cares Charitable Initiative Benefits New England Veterans Alliance
Ermont, Inc., a nonprofit medical marijuana dispensary specializing in edibles, today announced a new Ermont Cares charitable partnership with New England Veterans Alliance Inc. (NEVA), a Fitchburg-based nonprofit organization that assists veterans of all conflicts through alternative forms of wellness and care.
The partnership is made possible through the Ermont Cares charitable initiative that supports charitable organizations through the sale of a specially created, marijuana-infused chocolate. Over the next two months, Ermont will donate 80 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the THC-infused chocolates to support NEVA’s mission.
“Since the opening of our dispensary we have strived to meet the particular medical needs of the men and women who have sacrificed so much to serve our country,” said Scottie Gordon, Chief Operating Officer at Ermont. “We are proud to deepen our commitment to veterans by extending our support directly to the New England Veterans Alliance.”
Medical marijuana is recommended to treat a variety of medical conditions, including symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, a common diagnosis among veterans who have served in combat. Medical marijuana also provides a non-opioid alternative for chronic pain.
Ermont’s high-quality edibles, created by a dedicated culinary staff in a professional-grade kitchen, allow patients to get the medicine they need in a comfortable and pleasurable way. The rotating menu includes single serving cheese pizza, hot chocolate mix, lozenges, individual pies, lemonade, cookies, olive oil, honey, mac and cheese, and muffins infused with either THC or CBD in order to give patients a variety of options from which to choose.
